I remember the freeway chase very well. One of my co-workers said it was the biggest day in the history of pizza delivery (not counting the Super Bowl). I remember being mad because they pre-empted TGIF, never mind that it was summer reruns and I'd already seen the episodes...

Its hard to forget that, anytime I see an overhead view of a freeway car chase on tv, I think of OJ.

That murdering pr--k interrupted the Knicks - Rockets playoff game that my friends and I were watching.
I kid you not when I say that everyone hoped OJ would off himself right there and then. ...and in a recent poll of those there that night, the consensus is that all still hope OJ might just off himself yet. |

TJL, you are right about 1994 being a crazy summer. The baseball strike happened before the summer was out, and then I started high school. Enough said.

I remember that so vividly. Was sitting having a coffee after work talking to my mom and boyfriend with the t.v. on, but sound turned down. I finally notice the t.v. and see that there's cops putting O.J. in handcuffs. That's when we turned the sound up. Then of course the infamous 5 mph "chase" in the white Bronco. I know it pre-empted other shows, but I didn't care - I was just fascinated that this guy we held so high in regard was doing this stuff.
He pretty much led the way for Phil Spector, Blake and others. Up to then, I can't think of any celebrity that had been picked up on such serious charges. I'm just glad he's following through on his word of finding the real killer(s). Guess he just slapped a GPS gizmo to his ass.
