Default Does TVLand edit different scenes each time they show an episode?

In TOO OLD BLUES, last night they edited out the scene when JJ, Thelma and Michael walk away just as their parents walk into the bedroom right after James told everyone he was too old for the job. Now, the scene I am referring to is when the kids are walking away looking sad and Thelma says that her father can do anything anyone wanted him to do; that he isn't too old, etc. That was not there. I know it was shown before, which is why I caught it right away. They did show a tag scene, so I am wondering if they deleted this tag scene before and now, added it in by removing that one scene.

Anyone know if TVland does different cuts in episodes each time they show it?

I have this ep recorded from TVland and I will see if I can find it tomorrow. I doubt if they make new cuts and if they did I would hope something is added to balance things out-lol

I think they cut things out of episodes, I remember watching All in the Family and they left out scenes and tag scenes, when they've shown them in the past. So I think it's TVLand fault.

Well we cant say It's TV land's fault yet until it's confirmed on Video they made new edits. I won't be able to do that until they start showing season 2 which is next week.

You mean to tell me that, One month they air All in the Family one way and then months and months later they air the same episode with scenes missing? And the Tag scene gone??? Who's fault is it? It's the same film that they had the months before. They didn't just all of a sudden obtain new episodes that someone cut scenes out of.

So, it wasn't just my imagination working overtime... I know I have seen that scene before on TVLand and he I was expecting it to be shown and it wasn't. Then, I seen a tag scene for this episode and I knew I hadn't seen that tag scene shown before. So they must have added that tag scene after editing out that particular scene with the kids.

No it wasn't your imagination. You have to remember that TVland use to air their episodes unedited.

How will you compare? Will you play the tape on one tv while you watch the episode on TvLand?
