Jo and Blair are my favorites. I love them both equally. However, since I can only place my vote for one of them and since everyone else is giving their vote to Jo, I will cast mine for Blair.

Tootie is my favorite one. I guess as a kid, I wanted to do the stuff she did--modeling, meeting a Jackson (Michael for me! LOL!), meeting El DeBarge...
It's just nice to have a clean, wholesome role model. (And I don't ever recall any of the Eastlanders EVER cursing!) They don't have many people like that in the media now. Nowadays you aren't considered "cool" unless you've been in rehab 6 times and slept with half of Hollywood. It makes me happy to know that I have this sort of thing on DVD to show my kids what a strong, respectable (black) woman is. (I'm a strong black woman in part from looking up to Tootie.) |
