Mel B and Jennie Garth to 'Dance'

JENNIE Garth will follow former "90210" co-star Ian Zieiring on "Dancing with the Stars."

Garth is set to appear this fall on the fourth installment of ABC's popular show, according to reports.

It's also rumored that former Spice Girl Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown, who's involved in a paternity battle with Eddie Murphy, will cut the rug on "Dancing."

"It's official," Garth's publicist confirmed to "Access Hollywood" after Zieiring blabbed to In Touch magazine about convincing Garth to do the show.

"We texted each other," Zieiring said. "She had a lot of trepidation at first.

"And, as an actor, it's scary because there is no second take. If you screw up, it's out there for everyone to see."

Garth's CW sitcom, "What I Like About You," ended its run last month.

ABC has a policy of not commenting on "Dancing" contestants - meaning it's not official until the network says it's official.

That will happen around four weeks before the show launches its new season in September.

Brown's participation in "Dancing" is more sketchy. It was first reported in the Irish Examiner, then indirectly confirmed by Brown's spokesperson when asked about the paternity of Brown's daughter, Angel.

"Eddie hasn't been in contact yet, but Mel's been busy with the U.S. version of [the U.K.'s] 'Strictly Come Dancing' and her daughters," her spokesperson told the Examiner.

Brown claims that Angel's father is Murphy, who has demanded a paternity test.
