----Ednas Edibles Store---

Blair and Jake: (walk into the store)
Blair: Hello everyone this is Jake (smiles) This is jo (points Natalie (points Tootie (points) and the store owner Mrs. Edna Garrett (points)
Mrs. G: How do you do? (shanks hands with jake)
Jake: this is a nice store you have here!
Mrs. G: thanks! (smiles and puffs hair with hand)
Blair: we all live here! (puts apron on)
Jake: Oh... So how do you know mrs. garrett?
Tootie: well all of us used to go to Eastland... (puts jars on shelf)
Jake: well, mrs. garrett i think your jsut one or two years too old to be a high school student!!
Mrs. G: (laughs and smiles) No, I was the dietition there...
Jake: Oh i see!! (laughs)
Nat: Me and Tootie still go there but Blair and Jo graduated last year...
Jake: Oh.. (Smiles and hands tootie the jars she needs to put on teh shelf)
Tootei: (smiles and takes jars) thanks!!
Jake: well i better be gong now.. bye (leaves)
Everyone: Bye!!
Blair: isnt he sweet?
MRs. G: he sure is!! (smiles)
Tootie: he's a gentleman!!
Nat: He's a hunk!! (smiles)
Blair: hands off... hes mine!!
Jo: yea well i have heard come stuff about him!!
Mrs. G: (walks out from behind counter and helps tootie with the jars) LIke what?
Jo: Like he has HIV!
Tootie: LIke what waht Leonard Frey died of? (puts more jars on shelf)

Blair: well, he sure looks healthy to have HIV!
Mrs. G: Well Blair, you dont get sick until the last stage when it turns into AIDS...(smiles and kinda cuckles)
Blair: oh... well i have a term paper to finish (takes apron off) so call me when its almost dinner time (leaves hurriedly)
Mrs. G: hmmm... (puzzled look) wonder wahts wrong with blair now (hands tootie some more jars)
Tootie: (hops down from stool and get jars from Mrs. G) Here nat (hands some to natalie) Help me out iwll ya?!
Nat: (takes some jars)
MRs. G: Well i have to start dinner... (leaves and goes into kitchen)

----Living Room----

Everyone: (sitting at the table eating dinner, talking to eahother, and laughing)
*Phone Rings*
Mrs. G: I'll get it (runs to phone laughing and answers it) hello? Oh yea jake hang on... Blair... its jake (covers reciever with hang)
Blair: Mrs. Garrett I'm eating I'll call him later (goes back to talking with everyone else)
Mrs. G: well, we're eating dinner now cna i have her call you when we're done? (pause) Oh ok, well I'll ask her about it (pause) Bye (smiles and hangs phone up) Blair he wants you to go to the library tonight...
Blair: oh...?
Mrs. G: yea he said to call him back before 7 if you wnat to go...

Jake: (walks in) Hi Mrs. Garrett
Mrs. G: (whipping counter) Hi jake...
Jake: I'm sorry to barge in, i know your closed and everything but...
Mrs. G: Oh, no problem!! (goes on whipping tables now)
Jake: I just came to see if Blair still wanted to go to the library...
Mrs. G: Oh... I'll go get her (walks into living room to the stairs and yells) BLAIR!!
Blair: (walks down) waht mrs. garrett?
MRs. G: Someones here for you (walks into store)
Blair: (follows mrs. Garrett) Oh... hi jake (says surprised)
Jo and Nat: (walk into store from kitchen)
Jake: Hi, I was just wondering if you still wnated to go to the library?
Blair: umm... I can't (trying to make an excuse)
Mrs. G: (scrubbing ounter looks up)
Blair: I have a big term paper that I have to finish sorry... (walks out quickly)
Jo: And i thought i was rude!!
Nat: yea, i mean that was just plain mean!!
Mrs.G: Girls... (says angrily) I'll go see wahts wrong just come sit here int eh living toom (leads Jake into living room)
Jo and Nat: (follow jake and mrs. Garrett and sit on couch)
Jake: (sits on couch)
Mrs. G: (goes up stairs)
Nat: So Jake do you go to Langley too?
Jo: of course he does! I've seen you around!
Jake: Oh!!
Nat: well how was i supposed to know that!

----Girls' Bedroom----

MRs. G: (walks in) Blair!!
Blair: what? (losing patients)
Mrs. G: tootie, could you please go join Nat and Jo, they're downstairs entertaining Jake
Tootie: Sure! (smiles and leaves)
Mrs. G: Blair wahts this about?
Blair: well... if you must know... its jake...
MRs. G: No kidding!?!? (says sarcastically yet angrily) I've never seen you this rude before! No, i take that back! I have seen you this rude before, when we first all met your cousin geri, now i know your not jelous of jake and i know your not embarrassed by him... or are you?
Blair: no! I just dont want to get... HIV... (turns back to mrs. g and leans on desk)
Mrs. G: Blair! (laughs) you cnat catch it! Its a disease that you can only get through... sex... or through blood transfussions... but that rarely happens
Blair: oh... well i've heard you can get it through kissing and stuff like that
Mrs. G: only if that kissing leads somewhere... (smiles and laughs)
Blair: well, i dont want to get to know him and then he dies!! Its hard enough ahving to deal with death!
Mrs. G: well Blair... its a slow developing dises that somebody could have for... 20 years!! Look i know its hard to loose seombody but Jake is looking for a friend! Why not give him the equal chance!
Blair: It woudl be really hard loosing a friend...
MRs. G: If you would give him a change youd see he'd make a great friend!! Your pushing him out the window without there being a fire!!
Blair: ok... I'll give him a chance... but when he dies you better be at my side!!
Mrs. G: (laughs) and so will Jo, Nat, and Tootie!! All's im saying is give him a chance!
Blair: Ok... (leaves the room)
MRs. G: (leaves the room)

----Living Room----

Tootie: so you're sick huh?
Nat: (slaps tootie) Tootie!!
Jake: no natalie its ok... yea tootie i am!
Jo: how did you get sick?
Jake: Well...
Blair: (walks downstairs and interupts) Hi jake
Mrs. G: (follows Blair downstairs and sits next to the other girls
Jake: (gets up and goes to blair) Blair look... I know why your avoiding me!!
Blair: really?
Jake: you know that i have HIV dont you?
Blair: Yea... (sounds embarrassed and guilty for avoiding him)
Mrs. G: Girls maybe we should leave (starts to get up)
Jake: NO! (shouts and says more calmly) Please... stay!
Mrs. G: ok (doesnt get up)
Jake: Blair I didnt get it by having sex, i had to have a blood transfusion when i was 13 and i got it then...
Blair: Oh (kinda of smiles beucase he only got it through a blood transfusion)

Blair: well shall we go to the library?
Jake: you mean you still want to go?
Blair: Sure! (smiles)
Jake: well get your coat!
Blair: (goes to closet to get coat)
Tootei: How about you take me to a movie tomorrow?
jake: Sorry tootie, but i dont think so... (looks at Blair and smiles then helps her with her coar)
Blair: (walks towars door with Jake and stops by Mrs. Garrett)
Jake: (keeps going and waits by front door)
Blair: Mrs. Garrett... thanks!! (smiles)
