Bill. Avoid them like the plague. That site and some companion sites (operated by the same people) have been mentioned previously on the trading post about the horrible quality of the shows they offer. It's a huge ripoff. The site is set up to look like a legit online retailer, but just about everything they sell is a bootleg. Once you get something, you are stuck with it and there is no way they will refund your money. I suggest that you post a message on the trading post.

Bill and Greg,

Well, I jumped in with a purchase of the "Father Knows Best" set from these same people, earlier this week. (Having done a Google AFTER I bought, which shows how dumb I can be.)

So, we'll see. However, one piece of comfort is that one can always deny the CC charge if the product is not as advertised. (Something I will certainly do if FKB is not "complete and uncut".)

Default another bootleg company?

My pal bought a set of the cl 39 and I think that it is bootleg. It was done very poorly , but they did give him a full refund. So at least they didn't scam him. The only good thing about this set was the box itself. I don't know how these companies get away with this stuff. I guess they keep going until they get busted? There was someone just last week trying to sell some mooner bootleg right on ebay. I knew that this was a big business overseas, but didn't think it was in the US...

I've never seen that site before. Anyway, why would someone want to buy that set when they have been officially released already and for less money than they are charging? What gets me is the "factory sealed" that these sites always tout. If I was running off copies of these from my house aka "factory", and I wrapped them in saran wrap, I guess that would qualify.

I agree, but I would be willing to pay more if:
It had additional footage, behind the scenes, commercials, improved menues better packaging, etc. How cool would it be have have every single episode, lost, color, etc in one huge box set. I'm sure people would pay a pretty penny for something like that. I know I would as long as it was officialy licensed and of good quality. That would never happen being all the rights are split it different directions. I wonder if any of the Honeymooners will ever be in the public domain?

I'm guessing such a set would have to be packaged in a replica of Ralph's bus!

I would love to see this show in color, but the problem is (just like when they colorized "Bewitched") that you don't know the colors they are showing you are the colors that actually existed when it was being filmed. For instance they can show Alice wearing a yellow dress in a scene where in actuality she really wore a pink dress.

I'll tell you one thing I'd really love to see in color though:
Ralph's golf outfit!!

Now that's a great idea! Lol! I was thinking of "the bag" that Ralph found on the bus, or the one Norton brought to collect the 40 million dollas. Or, maybe Ralph's lunch box. I think the bus is the best! Oh baby!

3 of his last 4 feedbacks are negative. 1 for selling a TVLand recorded copy of Addams Family. Note. The Honeymooners set is "Brand new and Factory sealed."

You are probably right about the color ones. It would be ok to put some of the Jackie Gleason show in though. We don't get to see enough of his other characters. And it would be nice to have the very first HM scetch in there as well, regardless of the different wife.

What BensonFan was saying about colorizing would be neat. Not for all the episodes, maybe just one of them. It would be hard to pick one. The Golfer would be fun.

How can someone get away with something like this? I mean, if it is bootlegging. Is it legal to make copies of these old shows under public domain? I doubt the Classic 39 will be in the public domain for many years. Some people even sell downloads. I guess they are only selling information if it is legal to copy them.
