Default Blind Dates

Have you ever been on a blind date? And how did it work out?

A friend from work went on one Saturday night, and she was very disappointed in the outcome. They had very little in common and ran out of things to talk about. She said it felt like the longest night of her life.

oh my god! where to start with the terrible recent bad blind date! the guys spent 2 hours talking about his ex and how he missed her/loved her...texted her half the time. told me she might be pregnant and he hoped so, but she could also be late for her cycle because she gave him an infection (which he went into detail describing). Then, he left to "look for women with his friend since i wasn't that attractive". ouch!

I went on my first and only blind date several years ago. A friend of mine set me up with one of her female co-workers.

How did it go?

Did you ever see the first ten minutes of "Saving Private Ryan?"

It was worse than that.

My friend set me up on a blind date in November of 1995. I was 16 and the guy was a little...messed up. Not long after this first (and ONLY) date, he got busted for indecent exposure. I swear I am not making that up.

My friend still apologizes to me to this day for that fix-up, nearly 12 years later!! That was the only time I've ever gone on a blind date.

I could never go on a blind date. I'm just too much of a basketcase to be able to handle that kind of stuff.

Once, in high school. I was so not into it and ended up blowing him off at the Homecoming dance. I wasn't too nice.

I have gone on a few blind dates. All of which were FIASCOS. I went on one in Febuary of 2006, he didn't keep his hands off me. We went to this nice resturaunt and he slid in right next to me. When it is usually the custom when at a booth to go to the other side. And he kept on grabbing at me for the whole time. I mean I don't mind it usually, but when there's no chemistry hands off ya bum lol.

My prom date (Terry) was actually a blind date He used to live and go to the schools in our district, but moved away to Arizona when he was in the 8th grade. My friend at the time had asked him to come visit NY again and it just happened to be around prom time and my then boyfriend at the time had just broken up with me. She knew I needed a prom date, so she suggested her friend Terry (who I'd never met until the day of the prom) take me to the prom.

Well, I lucked out because he was really sweet, funny, and good-looking We had a great time!

It seems like most everyone has had a bad blind date experience. When I first began dating, my best friend set me up with her boyfriends cousin. He was all hands, and I couldn't wait for that date to be over. How can someone you've never laid eyes on before think that you want to be mauled like that?

It was worse than that.

I got suckered into several by my friends over the years. As you say - they were ALL horrible. The worst was with some greasy Italian guy (got nothing against Italians - I ended up with one) but this clown was something. Wore black dress pants and a wife beater shirt, put his arm around me immediately and wouldn't let go and had the worst case of flatulence I've seen in my life. Didn't even excuse himself or try to separate himself from the rest of us (it was a double date) when he farted. Just let 'em rip loud and proud.

I've had several others that were incredibly bad too. You almost want to go back to your friends and say WTF were you thinking? Do you hate me that much?!
