So is that just a TV special or did they release it on DVD?

It's never been put on DVD.

Your best bets to find it would be either ABC Family, which reruns it periodically, or on ebay.

Lisa and her family were on their "American Dream vacation" in 2001. They landed in Canada in August 2001 and were just beginning filming when 9/11 occured.

The reunion aired on November 21, 2001 on ABC.

I remember so well when the reunion movie came out. I was in my final year of college and it was aired right around exam time. So I taped it and decided to wait until finals (and the semester) were over to enjoy it. It was a nice little incentive to hit the books and have a treat awaiting me. I still have it on tape, btw.

I thought the movie was real good. The only thing missing was Nancy and she didn't want to do it.
