June 11, 2007 -- "The Sopranos" may have gone out with a meek bada bang on TV last night - but everyone from the show's stars to strippers at its famous New Jersey jiggle joint said last night they're still banking on a hit movie being developed about the series.

"Sopranos" actor Steve Van Zandt, asked at the big cast party about the show's demise, responded cryptically, "We're not sure it's ending."

Pressed about a possible movie, the man who played Tony Soprano's consigliere added, "A couple of years from now, who knows?" before disappearing into the crowd at the Hard Rock Live hotel and casino in Hollywood, Fla., where he and his castmates were being paid big bucks to mingle with high rollers as the series' season finale aired.

The comment by the bandana-wearing Van Zandt, who also plays for Bruce Springsteen's band, was music to the ears of "Sopranos" fans at The Satin Dolls strip club in Lodi, N.J. - the setting for the show's sleazy Bada Bing joint.

If a movie's made, "maybe then we can still have a job," said Suzie Quigley, events manager at the Satin Dolls, where several hundred people flocked to fete the passing of their favorite Mafia show.

Oh it DEFINITELY left things open for a movie.

This may very well turn into a successful movie with sequels. It's got a built in audience, that's for sure. Silvio pulls through, and it's 'business' as usual.
