Redd Foxx was the funniest black comedian of the 1970's.

The Jeffersons weren't Sherman Hemsley best work. Sherman Hemsley was better on Amen! The Jeffersons were funniest on All In The Family. The spin off was only so-so. Marla Gibbs also had a better series than The Jeffersons. I like Marla Gibbs better in 227.

I Pick The Jeffersons it my favorite tv show but it stayed better longer
1.The Jeffersons stayed Good for 7 Season
2.Sanford And Son Had 5 Good Season
3.Good Times Only had 4 Good Season

It's sad that one thing the three (once most excellent) shows have in common is how they all became very bad parodies of themselves at the end. Of the three, The Jeffersons certainly remained watchable the longest even though quality from episode-to-episode began to get wildly uneven by 1980.
