Default Does anyone miss Lisa?

I always looked forward to reading Lisa journal entry on her website but she has taken a break from writing for an undetermined amout of time. I hope everything is okay.

I miss Lisa's monthly eletters a great deal. I really admire Lisa. I do not look up to many people, but Lisa is one of the ones who I do. Like Lisa, I too am a born again Christian. I was raised a Catholic and even studied to be a priest for a while, but stopped going to Church during the summer of 2000 for a number of reasons. Well, I started going again earlier this year (to a different Church though) and it has become a very important part of my life. Reading Lisa's wonderful book The Facts of Life and Other Lessons My Father Taught Me played no small role in my returning to a more spiritual life. Lisa is also simply a very classy lady in my opinion.

I agree that is a really get testimony. I also admire Lisa she is a role model in my life, I want to be more like her with my christianity that is. I too miss her journals I always looked foward to reading them espcially the ones where she would recite something from the bible and and give her 2 cents on what it means to her. I know she is doing a sabbatical (trying to work on her spiritual relationship with god) and I understand that it's important and that it going to take a while. She said she was thinking of doing this sabbatical for at least a year. So even though I miss her journals I will try and be patient until she starts posting again.

Sad

Yeah, this is getting to be a drag not to be hearing a LITTLE something from her every once in a while. What bothers me is that every so often I like to send her an e-mail on her site, but if she's not posting anything each week, is she not reading e-mails either? I don't expect an answer, but it would be nice to know she's reading what we say.

I like to think that her sabbatical is a healthy time for her to re-evaluate her life, her goals, her relationship with God. She might have to go through dark corners of her life, illuminate her fears, things she has long not wanted to face. The scary things, the unpleasant things. All things hidden to be re-examined, all darkness brought to the light. You could say she could be taking a black sabbatical!!

Oh yeah, me and my rock and roll brain.

Actually I don't think Lisa takes alot of time reading email I think her mother-in-law does more of that or at least she responds to the emails for Lisa

Has anyone contacted Lisa through her site? I would think Alice (Lisa's mother-in-law) would tell someone that emails what the status is...

Here is an email I got from the LisaW yahoo group and I thought since Lisa isn't doing her journal right now I would share this bit of info about her with you guys, well for atleast the people who didn't get this email.

Thought you'd like to read this. Remember when Lisa Whelchel mentioned
how excited she was to meet Beth Moore, a popular Bible study writer
and speaker? Well, now I've been reading Beth's blog and here is a
post where she mentions being with Lisa at a conference and there's a
picture of them together with the speaker they went to see:

Enjoy!
