That totally irritates me... For a show that is so popular, why must Universal be so slooooow about releasing more seasons? From what I've read, they sell good so what gives???

I love that show and I'll be so bummed if we never get an "official" season 4 release...

From reviews I've read on Amazon, it looks like Universal just used the beat up prints formerly aired on TV Land and used those for the season four DVD's. But the episodes are supposed to be uncut, so those 5 or 6 minutes cut from the TV Land airings should be there on the DVD's. I'm not that fussy about picture quality, as long as the episodes are uncut is the main thing. There have been complaints about the sound quality on the DVD's as well, that could pose a problem. I have season four on order, I should have it in a few days. I'll watch some episodes and see what I think. But it's a shame that Universal is apparently not interested in cleaning up these episodes for the DVD's. Seasons one and two were fine, but after that the quality has gone downhill. I guess they gave us single sided DVD's in exchange for crappier quality episodes. This is originally a Universal show, one would think that they should have more care and concern for it and put out a better quality product.

To update this post: I got the season four DVD's and sadly I have to say, these make the season three set look superb in comparison. At least with season three, two thirds of the episodes were the better quality ones with the original opening titles. And the sound level was good. With season four, it looks like all the episodes except the last one on disc 5 are the same ones that used to air on TV Land with the alternate opening credits. The video quality is not that great, but passable. The biggest problem with the season four set is the poor, low volume level in the episodes. You have to crank the volume high on your TV to hear what the people are saying, and when the alarms and sirens kick in, it knocks you out of your chair. Some episodes sound better than others, but one episode, the one titled GOSSIP, the sound is especially poor. The one good thing about these DVD's is the episodes are uncut. Stuff that was cut for the TV Land airings can be seen on these DVD's. But season four is poorly done by Universal. If they issue seasons five and six, let's hope for better quality but I wouldn't count on it.

For the season four DVD episodes with poor sound quality, there is one option available and that is to turn the captions on before starting to play the episode. The words will show on the bottom of the screen as the actors say their lines, it is a bit distracting having the words flash on the screen but at least it let's you know what the actors are saying.
