Default When you go to the movies....

..what's your experience like?! I went to the movies last week to see Pirates of the Caribbean. Anyway, it's been out for a while and that's how I like to watch movies when they've been out for a while because there is less people. So, I'm with a good friend of mine and we're sitting in the middle row. We see this mother come in with like 3 kids(all looked under the age of 10)and a baby in her arms. Would you believe out of ALL the seats in the theater she HAS to sit right behind us?!?! And to make it worse she sits her son with all this energy right behind me! He kicks at my chair, bumps it everytime he goes to hit his sister and this whole time the mother is shoving candy and soda down their mouths. Then about 15 mins into the movie the baby starts to cry non-stop and the little boy won't stop kicking my chair. My friend kindly asks the boy to stop, because at this point I am about to lose it, and the boy just gives him a face. The mom acts like she doesn't notice. This goes on for about 10 more mins so my friend and I get up and move and we sit next to this lady who...you guessed it....starts talking on her cellphone...well whispering really but loud enough so you can hear her!! ARGHHHH!! Let's just say we didn't enjoy the movie at ALL!! Sometimes that's why I never bother to go to the movies. I think I'm going to look forward to only watching DVD's at home!

Urg, I hate people who can't be ****ing quiet at the movies. When I saw Happy Feet, it was nothing but, like, middle school children. Sucked.

I rarely go anymore I just wait until the movie comes out. We had a drive in theater which was great and we went to that all the time..but of course it closed down for some new buildings.
Last time I went to the movies I had a brat kicking the back of my seat, the lady next to me was smacking her lips together and making chew noises as she ate her pop corn and some couple in front of us insisted on discussing the movie THE ENTIRE time! Needless to say...I'd rather rent the movie...it's cheaper and I don't have to fight with people over the arm rest.

Oh yes I hate that! Some theaters have cup rests on their arm rests and some don't so it's like I have to place the popcorn and soda on the floor and kick it by mistake and it spills. I also hate when people have to comment on every little thing that happens in the movie or always go "I want to see that!" after they show a preview. It gets old!

LOL, yeah I've done that before! We have this one theater near by where the rows are really spaced out and instead of cup holders they have little tables extended out..it's awesome and so convenient! I wish that idea would catch on a little more.

Sorry you had such a bad experience! I've only had one really bad night at the movies and that was when my Mom and I saw the first 'Saw' movie. I swear to god, I wanted to scream. The whole theatre was packed with pre-teens who never stopped talking or yelling obnoxiously at the scary parts. Cell phones would go off every few minutes too.

I usually have a good time at the movies, though. My friends and I go all the time.

I only go to the movies a few times a year because of the rowdy kids and because its kind of expensive. I usually wait till the movie comes out on DVD and rent it at Hollywood Video.

For my birthday last year, my aunt gave me a gift certificate for Loews Movie Theatre. It was nice of her but if she did that this year...I don't know...

So true! I hate going to the bathroom during the movie and I always trip over other peoples feet(nobody wants to move their feet) and when I get back the movie looks good and I know I missed a good part. That's why I sometimes choose not to buy a drink but who can have popcorn and no drink?! That's the catch!
