Default Season 8 Cover Art

http://anchorbayentertainment.com/in...ID=7&GenreID=0

There's the link for the season 8 cover art! I really like the blue background, and the yellow goes great with it. It's nice to see they used a cast photo this time instead of a cut and paste picture of Dan and Roseanne.

Thanks for the link! I was wondering what the cover art was going to be like this time. Unfortunately, I must admit, I'm not impressed. The bright glow around everyone seems too much this time, and only draws more attention to everybody's "cut-out" hair. Thumbs down for me-- it reminds me of scrapbooking.

It's hard to tell, is the stringer of photos beneath the family shot actually from season 8? The season 1-7 cover art sometimes included a collection of Roseanne pictures not necessarily from the season the DVD was about. I hope they took the time to get it right this time-- that and exclude typos and incorrect episode summaries. I hate to sound ungrateful to Carsey Wernerfor making Roseanne available to fans, but by season 8, they should have been able to come up with an editor who actually watched the program and can get the details right. Stuff like that is important to us die hard fans.

Lecy Goranson returned as Becky in the first episode of season 8 ("Shower the People You Love with Stuff," 174-8) where she and Sarah Chalke played opposite each other in the infamous Patty Duke Show opening scene in the tag. Goranson continued to play Becky until "We're going to Disneyworld (1)," 90-8, when Sarah Chalke briefly reprised the role for the two-part (also, "Disney World War II (2)," 191-8) family vacation to Disneyworld. Lecy reappeared in two subsequent episodes, "Springtime for David," 192-8, and "Heart & Soul," 197-8, although Sarah played the role in the intervening episode "The Wedding," 196-8. In all fairness, Goranson should have had dibs on the DVD cover.

Actually, Lecy appeared in 9 episodes, and Sarah appeared in 5 episodes, and the other 10 episodes neither of them were in. I really don't think it matters much, but I did email Anchor Bay about this, and hopefully it will be fixed. After all, Lecy was the one credited this season as Becky, not Sarah Chalke.

Lecy appeared in 7 of the episodes before Disney World, and 2 (Heart and Soul, Fights and Stuff) after Disney World. Sarah was in 1 before Disney World, and 4 (including Heart and Soul, where both actresses switched scenes) after Disney World.

And, how could you not like this cover art? The blue background is just fantastic, and the yellow blends so great with it. And, for the first time ever, I believe all the photos in the strip are from the eighth season. I think Anchor Bay really wanted to please us for this release, and they definitely got to me! I can't wait to hear what the bonus features are . . . when there announced, I'll make sure I post.

Oh, you're right. I must have forgot about "Springtime for David" and "The Getaway, Almost", since its been awhile since I've seen that episode uncut.
Thanks!

Okay, Anchor Bay has finally issued out a press release for season 8. Here you can see 3-D front art, plus backart:

http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=7454

Plus, as you read the article there, they list the bonus features, which are pretty good, considering we're already inthe eighth season. We will be getting video commentaries from Roseanne (expect them to be full-length this time, around 2 of them) plus a brand new candid interview with Roseanne, running around 8 minutes.

Also, through my email with Anchor Bay, they replied that box art cannot be fixed now because it has already formally been issued out, but it was a mistake on there part (they should have included Lecy on the front, Sarah on the back). They also said season 9 will have more bonus features (and possibly bloopers), and we could maybe expect a series release in the future.

i'm excited about getting the 8th season. The cover art looks great besides the fact that it shows Sarah Chalke instead of Lecy. I wonder what episodes Roseanne will do the commentary on? I'm also curious if the series release will include the uncut season 1? O well i plan on ordering the Austrailian version anyways. It would be nice to have the American version uncut though.

I'm sure they'd rerelase season 1 uncut sometime in the future. Plus, my indication on the commentaries would be the Disney World episodes. JUst a guess, though.
