Since this series has won such critical acclaim and many awards, just WHAT is it about this show that makes is so good and has fascinated millions over the years?

The show has fantastic acting talent, compelling storylines, great music, and quality production values. The clothes, houses, all the settings are interesting in their own way. Character development is top-notch, to the point that most fans can't believe that they're feeling sympathy for killers, lol. The relationships between the characters, as mobsters balance family and "family" is unique storytelling, to say the least.

There's a feeling that comes over fans at the beginning on The Sopranos, when that song starts (and I crank it up)....Woke up this morning... Creeps into your soul almost. I can't think of another tv drama that's ever hooked with this way. I've never missed a single episode, and after eight and a half years, I'm not ashamed to say that I'm very sad to see it all end. What a wild ride it's been! Good job David Chase and Gandolfini & Company!!

The Sopranos is one of those shows where you actually believe in the characters. You find yourself rooting for these characters even though they are killers. Janice said it best, there has never been another drama that has gripped me this way and I too will be sad to see it go.
