So I'm watching "Like Mother Like Daughter" and does anyone know why they changed Blair's mother after this ep??

I don't know but I'm sure glad they did. I liked Marj Dusay as Blairs mom she did a great job.

after the first season, pretty much EVERYTHING changed. but they were a great duo as mother and daughter

Wasn't the first one just a model who did a little cameo thingy? Then when they took her role more seriously they hired a real actress. I think I read something like that. I'm not really sure, though. But I do agree that Marj was a lot better.

She was a 70s commercial actress...nothing more. The second had an acting background...this one, eeeeh.

The "mother" in that episode looked more like Blair's older sister, actually.

Marj Dusay has certainly had one of the steadiest acting careers since FOL folded - mainly in the soaps All My Children and Guiding Light. While she made recurring appearances as Blair's mom, she was also acting on the soaps Capitol and Santa Barbara.

Actually, both actors who played Blair's parents (Nicolas Coster and Marj Dusay) were co-stars on NBC's now-defunct soap Santa Barbara.
