Default Looking for "In Search Of..."

Hello,

I currently have all but twelve episodes of the series. I would like to find these episodes, preferably from History Channel airings, if possible...

Bigfoot
Psychic Detectives
The Easter Island Massacre
Troy
Haunted castles
The Lost Colony of Roanoke
Mexican Pyramids
Wild Children
Air Disaster Predictions
Dangerous Volcanoes
Great Wall of China
Life Before Birth

I would also like to get the "In Search Of" television movies...

IN SEARCH OF ANCIENT ASTRONAUTS
IN SEARCH OF ANCIENT CIVILIZATIONS
IN SEARCH OF MONSTERS & MYTHS
OUTERSPACE CONNECTION [90 minutes]

I also understand that there are copies of 16mm prints of some episodes. If anyone has these versions, I would be interested in obtaining them.

I have most of the series from History Channel airings, quite a few A+E episodes, and also the episode "In Search of Lee Harvey Oswald" from an original broadcast. I also have the soundtrack album on CD-R. In addition, I have a ton of other unrelated stuff available for trade.

Please contact me if you can help.

Thanks,
J

May I ask why History Channel airings? I have Bigfoot, Jim Jones
and one other one from the original airings but none from History
Channel.

The History Channel versions absolutely suck. They removed the original cool 70's opening credits and music. That helped make the show so memorable.HC versions are also edited. Bleah!!!

Default I have In Search Of Complete series

I have all History Channel episodes with possibly one missing. I also have Ancient Astronauts movie and possibly one more. I am looking for original airings and I'm also looking for a copy of the officially released VHS that was the second of two volumes released. I have volume 1 which featured 3 shows (Jack the Ripper, Tower of London etc.) All my History Channel airings were taped by myself at sp speed when they aired. I also have a set I got from someone else that is a mix of mostly History Channel airings and some A&E airings which I believe had Nimoy cut out, which is deplorable. The set was very sloppy so I'm transferring my own tapings and have over 100 done so far and plan to make a set right and get them in airdate order. I will also trade for the newer remake of the show, which I didn't ever see.

If I had a choice between A+E and History Channel versions, I would rather go with History Channel. BOTH channels deleted the old opening credits/theme, so you would have to seek out an original broadcast for that. However, the A+E versions completely cut Leonard Nimoy out of almost every episode! He is present in the History Channel versions. History Channel also presented the episodes in their normal half hour time slots/formats as opposed to the pairing up deal that A+E did.

Obviously, original broadcasts are ideal, but if they aren't available, History Channel really is the next best thing. A+E gets the "Bleah!!!" from me, no question.

I might be interested in that Mayans episodes ... interesting enough I found bits of an old Merv Griffin Show with Leonard Nimoy and Merv asks Leonard specifically about "In Search Of ..." ... the clip isn't long enough to trade, but I'll have to post it on youtube someday.
