Flo was Jerry Reed's babysitter????? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I meant to post this and kept forgetting. Flo was Jerry Reed's babysitter. In the show it was stated that she was a youngster when she babysat him. However, checking their real birthdates, they were both born in the same year, 1937.

This reminds me so much of the episode in What's Happening when it was stated Rerun went to high with some members of the Doobie Brothers. Unless Rerun was at least 26 and hanging around with a high school kids, then, I guess that was believable.

Good detective work Irene. I guess they wanted either Flo to seem older or Jerry to be younger.

Ever since I seen this episode the first time, I had a hard time believing that Flo was older (even by 7 years) than Jerry Reed. Maybe because he didn't look any younger than Flo.

Jerry is actually a couple months older than Polly (his b-day is in March 1937, Polly's is July. Linda Lavin's b-day is in Oct, so all 3 of them are within 7 months of each other, even though they make like Flo was alot older than Alice.). On the show, Alice turns 40 in the 6th season, but on the 3rd season episode "If the Shoe Fits", she's supposed to be 10 years older than the off-Broadway director she's going out with, who is 25. Flo remarks she's old enough to be his grandmother on that episode. Some real inconsistancy with ages on this show
