My siblings had never heard of Barney Miller. Then again, the show was off the air by the time they were born (or they were very little).

Both classic shows! Have you showed any episodes to your niece and nephew?

I don't think so, as we used to watch most of them together.

The Honeymooners. I grew up in New York where everybody knows it but now I live in North Carolina where nobody's ever heard of it. Not even Jackie Gleason

My 23 year-old nephew has never heard of, "Kate & Allie" and "Mr. Belvedere" I blame that on syndication, not him.

And he was born in 1984 when Kate & Allie preimered.

^ The 1st season of Kate & Allie is now on DVD, and I think Season 2 is forthcoming.

Yeah, where is Mr. Belvedere?? I LOVED that show as a kid! It was no syrupy cavity fest like Full House. The kids were sarcastic and full of mischief, plus Bob Uecker as the dad was hilarious. It's been like 15 years since I've seen it. This one better come out on DVD, too!!

Two of thes best underated 80s sitcoms. Whenever you hear 80s sitcoms mentioned, you never hear these two shows mentioned.

Wesley was the funniest kid on 80s TV. He and Mr. Belvedere made a great team.

Yeah he was. They had great chemistry. I liked him better than Ben Seaver.

Nobody? I can guarantee you that alot of people here in NC know who Jackie Gleason is and have most definitely heard of the Honeymooners.

Well, all the shows I pretty much watch, my parents have heard of because they watch them, but alot of them my friends haven't heard of. Like alot of the 60s and 70s shows my friends haven't heard of. The 80s and 90s ones they have heard of some of them.
