Question Parking Tickets and Violations

Do you or did you ever get any? I've been very good about it. I got a speeding ticket about 12 years ago, but it was one of those stupid deals, driving 43 mph in a 35 limit area. I think I've gotten only about three or four parking tickets.

My husband, on the other hand, used to be a menace on the road. The moving violations had our car insurance through the roof.

I got a ticket recently for having an expired inspection sticker on my car. A couple of years ago, I got a speeding ticket, but luckily I got it thrown out.

The last ticket I received was in 2001. It was for a "rolling stop" or as we call them here a "California Stop". I got off lucky. The cop told me I was speeding as well. At that time I had a cell phone and I told him I was distracted on the phone and really not paying attention. Because of my honesty he let me go with just the ticket for not making the complete stop. It was shortly after that, that I got rid of the cell phone.

Ironically, I got pulled over for speeding two weeks ago. I was doing 55 in a 35 miles per hour street. It was a Sunday afternoon with no traffic, and I was just cruising. The cop came out of nowhere. But, he didn't ticket me. He just gave me this paper to sign and mail it in to the town court I was stopped in.

Yeah damn california stops. My mom got a ticket for one of those too. When she was asked for the registration of the car she coulden't find it and the cop said ok I trust you and let her off. It's like the cop just drove out of the bushes he came out of nowhere!

I did get a parking ticket once for leaving my car on the street overnight. I meant to put the car in the driveway, but fell asleep! Next thing I know, it's morning and there's a ticket on the windshield. $10 down the drain.

I did get stopped twice for speeding. Thankfully, I just got off with warnings. I'm much more careful about speeding limits these days, and keep my eyes peeled for cop cars.

I always got tickets when I was younger, mostly for inspection or registration, for some reason I let those things slide alot.

Since I haven't owned a car in ten years i don't remember the last time I got a ticket, so I guess my driving record is clean.

I deserve a cookie for that.

I was pulled over last year for doing 52 in a 35 mph zone. I passed the cop and pulled over even before he pulled out of the parking lot, because I knew I was getting pulled over

I started crying to get my way out of it, plus I wasn't wearing a seatbelt. He just gave me a warning. I now watch my speed regularly.

I've been pulled over for speeding a few times but I've only gotten one ticket. Everytime its been a male cop thats pulled me over, some were nice and a couple were real jerks. My husband has gotten more tickets than me, one for parking in the wrong direction and one for parking over the white line (which I'd never heard of before) and one for driving too close to the car in front of him and several speeding tickets.

I got pulled over once, at 1AM, because my...rear license plate light, or whatever was out. Oh and I was going 40 in a 35. The guy wrote me a warning and everything.

I never got a speeding ticket but did get a few parking tickets in the past. These days, I never get speeding or parking tickets because I'm the one issuing them lol

- Notify driver as to why they are being pulled over (warning or citation)
- Ask to see driver's license and registration
- Run a 10-27 or 10-28 through the metro dispatcher
- If everything comes back all right, I complete the ticket and have the driver sign the bottom and give them their copy.

I've got it down to 5 minutes lol

Right now I'm on State Farm's Good Student Discount. I have to keep up my good grades and not have any tickets or accidents (faulted by me).

So far so good! I get nearly $20 knocked off.

Honestly, I do bend rules sometimes and I really need to reevaluate this because I can't forgo the discount. And more importanly... my life.
