I'm not sure if this counts, but there is a band called Fake Jan (in honor of Geri Reischl from The Brady Bunch Variety Hour).

Does it count if a band is named for a character in a movie? Duran Duran was named after a character in Bararella, and there's a band named Veruca Salt named from the character in Willy Wonka.
