Default Florida, Willona and Thelma sing

"Steam Heat". I think they sang it for some talent show. Which season did this air?

I think the Good Times gang did as many talent/singing shows as The Brady Bunch.

It's the X-mas episode in the last season when Keith had to work at the garage. Penny is part of the group as well, completing the quartet that is supposed to be a version of the Pointer Sisters.

Thank you! By 1978-79, I thought the Pointers were scaled down to a trio.

That was in season 3. You can tell Esther Rolle was uncomfortable in that wig she wore when they did the Supremes. I was glad that Esther did not resort in wearing wigs in the show.

If you are referring to when Penny sang with them, than it is the episode at Christmas time.

The earlier show was what Solomon mentioned, the Rent Party. Penny wasn't around yet. The ladies sang a song by The Supremes "Stop In the Name of Love". That is when Florida wore a really bad wig.

They were, but their career was at a low when that episode first aired. "Fire" was a big hit in early 1979 and made them hot.

I didn't think that Florida's wig looked all that bad. It looked like the wigs that the Supremes wore back in the 60's to me.

The talent/variety shows on Good Times struck me as natural and making sense in relation to the plot - which is more than I can say for other sitcoms. *coughFullHousecough*
