I couldn't find this on the boards anywhere, so I thought I'd mention it. A warrant has been issued for Dub Wackerhagen's arrest.
http://www.forthelost.org/family/cwackerhagen.html sorry if it's old news, but it's news to me. |

Thanks for the update. I think about this case sometimes and wonder if those two will ever be found. The page you linked did mention that Dub could be suicidal, so one has to wonder if maybe he could have killed Chance and then took his own life.

You know, I wonder the same thing. However, I want to say that I had a lengthy discussion with other folks on the board who felt that Dub could have easily created a new identity and slipped away to another part of the country. As I recall, he was a trucker so it is plausible that he could have done this. Even though I feel that Dub should be arrested for his girlfriend's death, I would rather see him and Chance living under assumed names as opposed to them both being dead.

Well that is good a warrant has been issued for Dub. Dub sounds like a guy who clearly is a control freak and has a paranoid personality. I do think that Dub and Chance are probably and hopefully for Chance's sake alive although they are I am assumung living under new identities in a completely different part of the country as CRicci said. Dub seems like the kind of guy that could pull something like that off and be successful hiding for years.

Hopefully, Dub's conscience will eat at him enough to where he will come out of hiding and come forward. But, that's along shot at best.
I just pray that he didn't lose it and kill Chance also.

I've always wondered if Chance actually shot Latricia, and Dub is hiding him from authorities.

Not only that, but the gun used to kill Letricia was a .22, and they typically don't have a lot of recoil. Like I said, its far more likely Dub did it, but I wouldn't completely rule out Chance. |

One key fact about the case that I think is odd was the location of where the truck was found, and how it was considered a bad section of Austin, TX. Is it possible that Dub drove the truck there in the hope that someone might steal it, eliminating evidence?

this is such a hard case to answer because of the fact that Dub and Chance havent been seen since the murder. it's not a shock they charged him because he does look guilty, but the question remains. is he alive??? if we find him, we will have answers.
