He knows he is going to a party at the diner and he went with Mel and his mother in his pajamas. LOL

You know what Brian, I think there was a scene cut out that explains that.
I was like WTF? when I seen him in his p.j.'s...then I told myself, there must have been a scene edited out that would tell us why he went dressed like that. I can't remember though.

Lol- I didn't see the ep on ION, but I know that Alice gets Mel to take her home from work. When they get there, Tommy is already in his PJs. While eating a piece of birthday cake, they get a call from the police that the Diner is being ripped off, so they all leave in a hurry. But you're right, if Tommy knew, he should have already been changed. Guess they wanted to throw Mel off track?LOL

I liked when Mel said something like "Fifty years on this earth, and all I got to show for it is a kid in his jammies!"

It seems natural that he was at the party in his PJs. They had to keep Mel off the scent, and having Tommy either be "still up" or change clothes real quick would have been odd.
I don't think Tommy was stupid for this---it was his mother, Alice, who told him what to do. |

Yeah, I agree with TALLguyinKY. I was gonna say basically the same thing, but he beat me to it
Also, I can't help but chuckle at Mel's line that *Roger* posted...if it'd been Michael Jackson, he probably would have been happy with that
