Default I liked Dudley more than Arnold mainly because he was

more a realistic child and teen than arnold. Dudley did and said all the things that a normal preteen and teen would say and do while Arnold was just a true fictional character-lol I think Shavar Ross brung a lot of his real personality to the set because his character was a lot more real. Plus it was revealed that Dudley always saw Arnold as a NERD but just never told him, he told his cousin who revealed it to Arnold which she wasn' supposed to do.

I see what you mean, but I personally like Arnold much better....They purposely kept him young and cute, and "fictional."

I think maybe they made Dudley a little more mature (if this is the correct word to use), to have yet another person for Arnold to play off of. It worked, if you ask me.

Dudley was everything a teenage boy was supposed to be-lol One Example: Not worrying about hurting one girl's feelings when he found a prettier girl-lol

I actually have an autographed picture of Shavar Ross (Dudley). I never saw much of Diff'rent Strokes, but I loved his character Weasel on Family Matters. He seems to be a LOT less bitter than Gary Coleman - he is a minister now, and has a wife and kids.

Shavar produces and has his own company, so he's comfortable. Gary is broke and doing embarrassing commericials, so I guess he has a reason to be bitter.

That just proves that Arnold was a nice kid, while Dudley was a horndog.
