There has been a lot of discussion lately about cast changes, but one character has been omitted. What about the part of Frank Stephens?
At first he was played by Robert F. Simon and then by Roy Roberts. I can't seem to find any information why Bob was replaced and when. Does anyone out there know anything about this cast change?

I knew about and forgot about this change. I'm not sure why he was replaced by Roy Roberts, who also did a good job in the role of Frank Stephens.

Roy Roberts replaced Robert F. Simon starting with Season 4 in episode
# 176 "Naming Samantha's New Baby" which aired Oct.23,1969. The replacement was done as a result of Robert F. Simon not being available due to movie assignments when they had to shoot an episode with Frank Stephens in season 4, once the change was made it stayed that way till Robert F. Simon returned for an episode in Season 7 replacing Roy Roberts for the same reason in #228 "Samantha & the Antique Doll". Larry Tate

Robert F. Simon has always been my favorite Frank. He was the original and had great chemistry with the entire cast. He always looked to be fun at a party.

Hey Cat! I liked RFS better too. I had forgotten about him until I have recently been watching season one again. He seemed like a better "opposite" to Phyllis.

Poor guy - I always felt for him having to put up with a spouse like Phyllis.

Not to mention, Roy Roberts was great as blowhard boss Mr. Cheever on The Lucy Show!
