Player-lol Every old game I have watched with him i see nothing at all that makes me believe he was on the same level as Bird, Magic, and Jordan,. He was not FAST, only was effective on the break, STUNK in the half court Offense because he had no jump shot. So what makes this man so great? Was it because he was a great dunker? Damn Solomon, why is it so hard for you to give credit where credit is due? Dr. J was great. Michael Jordan patterned his game after him. Yeah, he had flaws, but he was great for the era he played in. His 76er squad just wasn't on the level as the Lakers and Celtics. I didn't see Dr. J play until later in his career, but I know he was great. He is my oldest brother's all-time favorite player. He wore the Converses and tried to play like him. My brother is over 40, and people over 40 can tell you Dr. J was the man. Clyde Drexler was MY all-time favorite player. But because he played in the Jordan era, and in Portland, he didn't get any recognition.

Well maybe he started going downhill after 1983 because he was a OK player to me. I don't think Jordan took that much from him, defintely not his jumpshot-lol

You don't know a lot about sports. Jordan didn't have a jump shot until later in HIS career. Most of the slashers didn't have a jump shot at first. Jordan obviously worked on his jumped shot. Dr. J was more than a OK player, he was the franchise, and a great athlete. Why don't you stop the hate man, and why did you even create this stupid thread anyway?! Like I feel like debating with you on how great Dr. J was! You live in Philly, you should show some props!

GarfieldKool don't pay attention to ThaAnalyzer because he says dumb stuff a lot. I don't understand how he doesn't see how Dr J was a great athlete. Dr J did some amazing stuff in his career. His dunks were awesome. I've never seen him play but i've seen a lot of his highlights.

Because Magic, Bird and Jordan all have 3 or more Titles and were very GOOD on the offensive end. Magic was a GOOD PASSER, Bird was a AWESOME SHOOTER and Jordan was just plain AWESOME. Dr. J was just a DUNKER with a BABY AFRO-lol

Didn't Dr J win 2 championships with the Sixers? I know he won a championship when he played in the ABA for the New York Nets.
