Default Live, Laugh, Love

Live, Laugh, Love

Starring a group of five single thirtysomething Manhattan friends who want nothing else but just to live life to the fullest and having fun doing it. The group includes: Dylan (Lindsay Price), Brooke (Jennifer Aspen), Eve (Toni Colette), Valerie (Deedee Pfeffier), and Octavia (Tempsett Bledsoe). Dylan is the fashion-conscious make-up artist for a morning TV talk show, who's most recent ex-boyfriend dumped her for her cousin. Brooke is the sweet, charming, and good-natured elementary school teacher who's life is becoming dull and leans on her four other girlfriends to help her liven up her soon-to-be mundane life. Eve is the smart, sarcastic, and intelligent assistant district attorney, who was has committment issues with men, and left her ex-fiancee waiting at the alter a year ago. Valerie is the fiesty and flirty hairdresser who has a habit of jumping from one bad relationship to another, and has a habit of sleeping with all the wrong men all too soon in the relationship. Octavia is the guilt-ridden, weight-conscious travel agent who tends to hop from the latest fad diets and is a big believer in herbal medicines and remedies. Octavia's guilt is caused by the guilt-ridden memory of getting pregnant back in high school (with her then-boyfriend who ran off after finding out), then Octavia left her then-14 month old son with his paternal grandmother back in Chicago, before she left for good because she felt she would be a bad mother. Watch how Dylan, Brooke, Eve, Valerie, and Octavia manage to live their lives in Manhattan as thirtysomething single women, having to deal with careers, friends, men, family, money, stress, dating, sex, and other everyday dilemmas.

Cast:
Deedee Pfeffier as Valerie Dawson
Tempsett Bledsoe as Octavia Burke
Jennifer Aspen as Brooke Kasper
Lindsay Price as Dylan McKinnely

Default Episodes

Episodes

Ep1: Pilot Episode:
Dylan, Brooke, Valerie, Eve, and Octavia all go out to celebrate Dylan's 30th birthday. During the night out, Valerie bumps into a former one night stand who wants a "second go-at-it" as Valerie finally wakens up and realizes she is just being used as a "booty call" more or less. Also, the girls help coach Brooke to be more daring and actually come out of her shell to flirt with a attractive stranger at the bar.

Ep2: Expect The Unexpected:
Dylan recieves an invitation to her cousin's wedding (and the groom is her most recent ex-boyfriend), which devastates her. While out on a lunch date with Brooke and Valerie, Eve is thrown into a very awkward situation when she (and other two) bumps into her ex-fiancee whom she left at the alter a year ago, Matt (David Schwimmer). Eve is flabbergasted and stumbles over her words, as Matt is very civil and calm (yet politely rejects Eve's nervously-proposed option to go out for drinks sometime). Also, Octavia recieves an unexpected surprise arrival from her biological son (of whom she left in the care of his paternal grandmother)'s paternal grandmother, Paulette (Diahann Carroll), with a shocking tidbit of information: Octavia (and Paulette's absent son)'s now 18-year-old son, Marcus, wants to finally meet his mother who left him when he was only 14 months old. Although Octavia's lifelong dream of seeing/meeting her now-teenage son will finally come true, she is extremely nervous and unsure of she can emotionally and psychologically can do that (which brings back more guilt-ridden thoughts and memories).
