I recently mentioned to my mom and aunt and cousin that I have a medical concern and tiold them what was happening and their response was-"OH THAT DOESN"T SOUND GOOD AT ALL!
Who the hell wants to hear that? even if they feel that way you don't say that to someone which really increases anxiety. I just can't bbelieve they can be that STUPID. |

I dislike a vast majority of my relatives. They are either know-it-alls, stupid, or both. Tell me what they think I should be doing, yet they don't know me, my job, my life, and their life is a ****ing mess. SHUT THE **** UP.
I have to bear a bunch this weekend. I'd rather jump off a roof. |

Ok Solomon, bad enough you got these crazy ass chicks you work with or are friends with, now, you are putting down your MOM????? You are a bad boy! It doesn't matter what your mom says, it may sound depressing to you but no matter what, if it's bothering you that much, go to a doctor.

Thanks, no one in my family except my grandmom, has sense enough to say-"Just get it checked out it maybe something minor" Instead of-"OH MY GOD THAT SOUNDS SERIOUS!! |

It could be something minor. Let me know how your appointment goes. I will have you in my thoughts. You are right though, sometimes relatives, people we love say things that doesn't sound right or proper at the moment. I don't get worked up when that happens to me though. I take things in stride. I don't let it worry me. I figure, what can I do by worrying? Nothing. My boyfriend is a worry wart. He makes it sound like he has terminal cancer or something. I just sit back and relax and let the professionals tell me what is up. |

Especially when it comes to medical stuff, both sides of my family are fairly well put together, mentally. On my dad's side, a majority of the people either a)work in the medical field, or b)have suffered enough injuries in life, that they're pretty together on that stuff. On my mom's side, everyone's had so much experience dealing with first my grandfather and now my grandmother on that side's medical problems I'm convinced pretty much anyone on my mom's side of the family could pass as a gerontologist (and obviously since older people get regular illnesses too, that gives everyone a working knowledge of those too).
