Default Who here...

has a mother who STILL orders you around occasionely, even though you're older?
My mother always insits that I go to mass at Xmas and dress in a shirt and tie, or else she'll kick my ***!
In fact, every time I go to church I have to dress like that-and I'm 49 YEARS OLD!!!
For instance, tomorow she's making me and my brother go to a memorial mass and lunch for a woman she was friends with, but the rest of the family only knew vaguely-and (you guessed it!) we have to wear a jacket and tie!

Granny: "OK ask her kin we buy one offa her."
clerk: " The ruby I am talking about is not a lady."
Granny: "Lissen, how she got them diamonds is her business. I'm just sayin' ask her kin we buy one from her."

She'll kick your ***? Perhaps you've got other issues you should attend to first... J/k

A good son will wear a jacket and tie.

My mother was so difficult. I could never go out with friends unless it was on a Friday and my curfew was 9pm and she'd call every hour. I couldn't have or make calls after 8pm and whenever I was on the phone she'd always be near me listening. She also did alot of other things that drove me up the wall...and I was 21. So I moved out and it never happened again!

I don't have my mother. She died when I was 6. I would give anything to have her back, even if it meant hearing stuff from her I didn't like or want to hear. You don't know what you have until it is gone.

My mother only does that occasionaly. I'm afraid I'll be alot worse with my son
even though I know how annoying it can be. I feel like I'll always have to look out for him whether he wants it or not.

My mom does, she says that I will always be her baby no matter how old I get. So yes she's still bossy, when I go visit she'll tell me to go and get her water or soda, go get her purse do this do that. Even when I'm at my own house she'll call me and tell me that she wants me to call someone for her or do things while she's out of town.

Well, my friend. You do have a choice. Now with a funeral, it gets a little touchy, but you still have a choice.

"Yes, mother." or "No, ma'am"

As far as I'm concerned, that's all that's to it. I've done both in dealing with my relationship with my mother. No... majorly ill affects.

Although, I've never been asked to do terribly unusual things.

yes; I agree; but you don't know my mother

Don't get me wrong; I know she's just looking out for me and she means well. I'm just glad that she's still around at 89 years old!
