I've been absent for a while, but I ran a quick search and didn't see anything about this. I post in a few livejournal communities, and found this:
http://fourfour.typepad.com/fourfour...rooner_no.html ...which led me to this: http://community.livejournal.com/how...ow/378011.html ...and finally, this: http://www.myspace.com/swanbrooner And I REALLY hope that that's a fake (I sent them a message informing them of just who exactly that was a picture of, in case they didn't know). But I don't know, I find it upsetting that someone is using a photo of Tammy Lynn Leppert (which can be seen here: http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/...ert_tammy.html) as a photo of themselves. I suppose it's good to get her face out there, but not when everyone thinks that she's some 13 year old girl... Am I the only one who has seen this? |

No, I just looked. I'm not as up on the Tami Lynn Leppert case as I should be, but can we be sure that these pictures ARE of Tami? She has so many of them on her page that it makes me think they might actually be OF her... she's also claiming to be 21.
I have no idea, really. (SIDENOTE: Holy crap! I just clicked on the LAST link you left. That IS interesting! I just thought it was a gal who looked like TLL. I had no idea she was using the EXACT same pic! Nice eye!) *1000th POST! WOO!* |

It is very distasteful (and a little creepy) that she is using that photo of Tammy. What's weird is the caption to that photo reads "me rite now at age 12!" but the profile age is listed as 21. Hmmm. I wonder if this is some kind of strange "myspace bot".

There are quite a few photos, but if I recall, the Charley Project is a reputable site, no? And if that photo isn't of Tammy Lynn Leppert, I'm sure that her sister will be able to confirm that since she does post on these boards periodically... |

Hmmm...it's quite possible! It is making the rounds though, and apparantly fourfour.typepad.com is a pretty popular site, so it's kind of turning into more than just a fake myspace :/ |

Suzanne, has anyone ever come forward with any possible news on Tammy? 24 years later it must be agony what you have and are going through. It seems like she just dissappeared off the face of the Earth. Surely someone out there somewhere knows something and I hope you find some resolution sooner rather than later.

She probably listed her age as 21 because myspace doesn't allow you to register as a 12 year old. Myspace is full of bots and scammers anyway, I wouldn't believe half of what is on there.

Yeah, I think it's a fake myspace profile that a "fan" set up for Swan. I haven't seen the "Living Dolls" documentary that is mentioned, but I bet all of the info in the profile comes from the documentary. If you look closely there are no personal thoughts included in the statement, just biographical information and someone's poor attempt to make it sound like it's written in the first person. It's pretty creepy, but I get the impression that they somehow thought Tammy's photo was really of this girl and it is quite an unfortunate mistake. I see that a couple people commented about it on the first webpage you linked.

I was watching Scarface the other night and was wondering if the scene Tammy was in (or supposed to be in) was ever put into the film.
In the scene where the two men hired by Frank try to assassinate Tony at the Babylon club, I think I may have spotted her. Richard Belzer, the comedian/actor introduces "Octavio The Clown" as the song "Strangers in the night" starts playing. The camera cuts to Tony, sitting at his booth and then cuts to the would-be assassins, who have their firearms on the table under some napkins. Then, the next shot is of Octavio trying to coax a young, blond woman in a blue dress to (presumably) dance with her. If you pause at that scene and look closely, it strongly resembles Tammy Lynn Leppert. Now, it has been confirmed that her scenes were shot, and she suffered a breakdown in her trailer afterward. What I didn't know, and didn't know if it had ever been mentioned, was if the scene made it into the final cut. If any of you have access to the movie, please check it out when you have a chance and let me know what you think. |

Interesting about "Scarface." I'll have to check that out.
I also remember much confusion here over Tami's role in "Spring Break," since she wasn't listed in the cast at the Internet Movie Database. Apparently she had a non-speaking part in the movie and I guess if you don't have any lines, they don't include you in the cast list. But I'm sure her name is mentioned in the ending credits. What scene she is actually in, I don't know. In an old article, all it said was that she was one of the girls on the beach wearing a bikini. |

I think the scene is where "Manny Ribera"(Steven Bauer) is waiting with "Chi Chi"(Ángel Salazar) in a car ,for "Tony Montana"(Al Pacino) and "Angel"(Pepe Serna),the guy whose head was cut off by the chainsaw. Manny calls the attention of a beautiful blonde in a blue bikini. From what you have said , suzanne, I think this girl is Tammy. |
