Default observations

I couldn't find the blooper threads so I decided to start a new thread. I have compiled a list of bloopers others have found; here are a few things I've noticed on my own.

Snow White: During the play, when Mike bends down to kiss Carol, his hat disappears and reappears when he's done.

Juliet is the Sun: When Peter and Jan are asking Marcia for advice on saying their lines, Peter says something like "Let's go practice before we forget what she told us." If you look very closely at Jan while Peter is saying that, you'll see her moving her mouth with his lines; you can tell Eve is saying Chris's line, getting ready for her next one. This happens fairly quickly and you have to pay close attention.

My Sister, Benedict Arnold: While Marcia and Greg are in the house arguing, and the other kids are outside looking in, the parents drive up. Mrs. Brady starts asking questions, not directing them at any certain person. I think Jan answers one, and Peter looks at her while she's talking. In the mean time Carol asks another one and Peter looks over at Cindy before she starts talking. He must have been psychic or something. Again, this happens very fast.

Not a blooper--just an observation. In the earring episode, when Carol sees Mike with his costume on, she says, "Alice is right; you do have nice legs": Carol has never seen Mike's legs before?!

In one scene (episode: "What Goes Up") Florence Henderson calls Peter by his real name, Chris. In another episode (don't remember which one), Barry Williams says Eve instead of Jan. Oops.

Yes, he calls her Eve when they are on the trampoline.

True.

When Peter first gets on the trampoline, Florence Henderson says "Hey, go get 'em Chris!"

Then, later in that same scene, Barry Williams says "Why don't you give it a try, Eve?"

Henderson says her line just as everyone in the scene starts to "chatter". Barry goofs his line in the midst of all of the Brady chattering, so it's a little more difficult to hear that one, unless you know it's coming. But he definitely calls Jan "Eve", and his voice is a little louder than most when he says it.

Wow, thanks for pointing those out!

I'm always amazed at people's ability to be so aware of these types of goofs, and to be able to spot them. When I look at the episodes after someone points these things out, I can see them easily, but I'd never have noticed them if they weren't pointed out.

There are quite a few continuity errors that have been pointed out about the series, which were caused by filiming parts of the same scene at different times.... things such as Jan's hair and Marcia's bracelet in the "54-40 and Fight" "House of Cards" scene... (i.e. Jan's hair is either in a pony tail, or not in a pony tail, depending on which camera angle is being used... and Marcia either holds her bracelet to prevent it from hitting the house of cards, or the bracelet dangles, depending on which camera angle was used).

There are others, such as when Bobby appeared on the TV show (and loses an aice cream eating contest)...members of the family will be seen leaving the house in one car, and returning in a different car.

Another one took place in (I think) the Joe Namath episode... Bobby is talking to his friends in the yard as Cindy is walking by taking a garbage pail to the garage. In one camera angle, she's holding the garbage pail, but when they switched cameras to the one looking at Cindy from behind Bobby, the garbage pail is gone. I'm not positive that this takes place in the Joe Namath episode, though, but I think it does. There aren't a lot of scenes in the show that have Bobby talking to his friends in the back yard.

Yeah, that's too funny! It's like in the Joe Namath episode... when Bobby is forced to spill the beans to Mike and Carol re: his boasting to his friends that Joe Namath is a friend of the family, Carol asks Mike, "We don't even KNOW Joe Namath, do we, Mike?"... I thought it was too funny that she had to ask Mike whether or not they knew Joe Namath!

In "Her Sister's Shadow," (the Marcia, Marcia, Marcia one), when Jan realizes there was a scoring error on her essay, she says "Norris Coombs won." Later it was "Nora Coombs."

I watched the Cyrano episode and noticed something else. When Peter is tossing the stones at Kari's window (and you hear them plink against the glass), she starts talking to him but doesn't open the window. Her hand is also outside the window and I think at one point she may even lean outside. I guess her family must have that magic glass that you can put your hand through--just like the Bradys have.

I'd probably be willing to give them a pass on that one... it's possible that he was aiming the pebbles to hit part of the house itself (near the window) as opposed to aiming at the the window directly. To me, it actually sounds more like the pebbles are hitting the house itself, or the shutters, rather than hitting glass. Of course, I'm speaking as someone who's never thrown pebbles at glass before... I always aimed for the shutters. Less chance of cracking something that way!

Another observation: I think it's in the episode where Bobby wants to win a trophy. Jan and Marcia are playing a ring-toss game and whenever a ring hits the ground, there's a thud not at all like you would expect to hear on real turf. It's especially noticeable when Bobby tosses a ring.

I think it's the same one.
