It’s finally updated, and can be found at the sites in my sig (the last already received it, don't know how fast it'll get up) or via e-mail for a time at fullhousechron at aol.com. A friend named Joe Menninger has said he will update later. However, now, like the couple in the end, I’m heading off into a great and glorious future, full of promise.
Thanks to everyone who helped, voted, encouraged, etc. along the way. It was a great ride. I went into law 12 years ago figuring on it being my lifelong thing. But, too much work and stress from clients expecting me to be mean when I could never be took its toll. Even just wills and estates got to be a grind, working alone and unable to afford even a secretary; imagine running a whole law office by yourself out of your home (because you can’t afford an office, either, and nobody hires you becuse you don't have experience) and being legally blind. I was. And, I did. For over ten years, by the grace of God. The burnout finally hit, though, and I needed time off, and came back only doing some wills and estates, never in court again. I couldn’t take the angry and vicious arguing, I’ve always been a negotiator, not a fighter. But, I thought I had to pay the bills by doing some litigation or family law. It didn’t help. “Full House” was perfect – a great family show where everything turned out okay, even when there were problems, and you could feel the love they had for each other. I knew very little of it before, but starting Jan. 2001, I watched so much, I was able to start to put a timeline together. I loved the books. I saw differences and understood how things could happen, because of the way my legal mind worked, that maybe others didn’t catch as much. A further retirement speech is being posted on the “How Rude” fansite, but I wanted to put something here, too, because I really appreciate you all. Even those who saw so many mistakes, hey, it was because of people like you that my mind kept whirring and spotting pretty fast how they were *not* mistakes at all, like how Jesse could have faked his graduation, with Pam of course letting him “get by with this one” in return for his never drinking or any of the other hard stuff he might have done. The Chronology never would have been half as big if those like that hadn’t inspired me, because it wouldn’t’ have been half as fun. And yet, I didn’t have to worry about clients bugging me, mounds of paperwork, etc.. Where to now? My heart was changing, too, as I sought more Heavenly rewrds. I saw that just doing wills and stuff wasn’t earning me anything in heaven; I’d trusted Christ as my Savior back in college and wanted to serve the Lord. In November of ’99 my heart was on the next flight to Tanzania if God had called me, but instead He called a young couple who is now faithfully serving, and wanted me to learn to rely solely on Him here first. I volunteered in in our church in a bunch of different areas, many night a week, until the Lord called me into full-time ministry. I am a few courses away from it, and then…well, I’m going to totally trust Him in what He knows I can do, in the pastorate somewhere, not what I think I can handle. That was my whole problem, and always was, trying to take on too much myself. (Is it a touch of Asperger’s Syndrome, too, always needing things to be calm and loving and talking things out? I don’t know.) It was a great ride, and the creators of “Full House” must be thanked immensely. Although, it’s really God in how He worked things Who must be praised. He had something special there for me, great friends, and everything. He allowed the creators to put some things in that needed explained so someone could push me to even start the Chronology. He had it all worked out from when I was born; indeed, from when time began. I just had to follow His plan, and I did. Who needs all those bad escapes when you can escape into the world of a great, wholesome TV show like “Full House.” (And talk to some of your old stuffed animals once in a while, too :-) So, it is with great thanks I leave these boards for good, as like the Lone Ranger, my work is done here. Whether you feel it was good, or not, doesn’t matter. It would be interesting to stick around to see some of your reactions (though some of you, thinking about it, might feel my being a lawyer makes all the sense in the world), but I can imagine them. That’s the important part. I can imagine the amazement and all, as I’ve imagined so many other things over the years. My imagination has been vast, and has allowed me to be able to produce this. It is my gift to you. So you can know how Jesse faked stuff, or about the stage name, or how Michelle was disciplined, or who Joey married, or how the characters matured in the later years after the series? No, though those are all things that might help you feel better, from what some of you have posted. No, the main reason – besides glorifying God in what He allowed me to do – is to provide entertainment. Just as I’ve been entertained by doing this. It was fun. And, I hope you enjoy the end result. I’ll remember Full house fondly, like with my other fandoms I loved as a kid, some of whom were my imaginary friends when little. Charlie Brown and his friends, Dennis the Menace, etc. (Now, only very rarely do I say something to a stuffed animals; I don’t have a Mr. Bear – but a few of my dogs are close :-) Seriously, I I will remember it with the same warmth and fondness. And, as I go forth into whatever the Lord has for me, I will have fun. With that, I will say good bye, till hopefully we meet again in heaven. Just remember, you are only a single, sincere prayer of repentance to our Lord Jesus Christ away from eternal life. He’ll get you through things here on Earth, and you will have that “happily ever after” in Heaven someday. Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoyed it. God Bless. |
