Default Anyone ever try Milk and Pepsi because of Laverne?

I use to love milk and pepsi back in the day. Laverne use to make it look soooo delicious!

I do remember trying milk and pepsi when I was a kid because of the show.

Did I like it?

Let's just say it was one of those childhood things I have blocked out of my mind.

Yep same here. I wouldn't try it again...it was good for that moment that I tried it. You do things as a kid, and as an adult you tell yourself, "What the hell was I thinking?"

I haven't tried that concoction in years. I liked it as a kid though.

When I was a kid, me and my cousin were craving ice cream sodas but there was no ice cream in the house but we had milk. So my cousin tells me that milk is alot like ice cream so we mixed it and tasted it and......let's just say we went to the corner store and got the ice cream.

It always did me too!

Although I was at a friend's wedding a few years back and a guy from Wal-Mart was up for it (from Bentonville). We sat next to him and he starts feeding me these drinks he called "Colorado Bulldogs". They were delicious! Turns out it was milk, Pepsi, Kaluah and Vodka. I had to stop at two because you don't taste the booze at all and they go down so easily.

Don't think I'd want to venture a taste without the booze tho!

Yeah, I loved it as a kid, same with Scooter Pies. Now, I can't even think about either one without feeling sick.

I tried it when I was a teenager and it was good. I even wrote Penny Marshall a fan letter and she sent me an autographed picture that said my name and to keep drinking Milk and Pepsi.

Nope. I tried it because of my father, which was before Happy Days even aired, let alone Laverne & Shirley.

One night I was having trouble sleeping, and my father was mixing some milk and soda for himself. I don't remember what kind of soda it was, but he let me try it. I liked it, and I've been drinking milk with any soda I liked ever since, including Pepsi. Later on, I learned he got this from my grandfather.

Roughly 20 years ago, my family rented out some country club in Queens for a party for my aunt & uncle's 25th Anniversary. I decided to order my usual milk & soda combo at a bar, and the bartender thought I specifcally wanted Milk & Pepsi, assuming I got the idea from Laverne & Shirley. I insisted otherwise, and he told me he knew Garry Marshall, and that Laverne DeFazio as well as other characters from Happy Days and Laverne & Shirley were based on people he knew in real life from The Bronx. I don't remember all their names, but the real Laverne did drink a lot of milk & pepsi.

I reminded the guy that both shows took place in Milwaukee, and he told me that the studios wanted to make it take place in the midwest, so that more of the country could relate to it.

I tried it as a kid because of L&S.

I remember wanting to like it.
But I didn't.

It was around this time I also found out I couldn't start jukeboxes with a rap of my fist.
