1) Kelly Clarkson (never saw Season 1, but still love her)
2) Carrie Underwood (only about a .10th behind Kel)
3) Taylor Hicks (he was good, and I hated how they, esp post-Idol, salivatated over Chris at Taylor's expense)
4) Jordin Sparks (not as all over great as they claim / want her to be)
5) Ruben Studdard (good voice, but still was on the Clay train)
6) Fantasia Barrino (do not understand her appeal at all)

Runners-Up
1) Clay Aiken (he'll always be my #1)
2) Blake Lewis (his YGLABN was incredible, and I <3 him)
3) Diana DeGarmo (she was miles better than anyone *ahem, Simon* ever gave her credit for)

For me, some of the runners-up have been better than the winners, yet no matter how you rank them, no one will come close to Kelly Clarkson. Her fame just keeps growing every year. Her new album "My December" isn't as good as "Breakaway", but it's still better than about 95% of what else is out there, and that includes fellow Idol Daughtry. I hate that guy! But on to the business at hand:
