On how many occasions did the persons in the bar fail to greet Norm with "Norm!"? I can think of 2: (a) in the season 6 premiere, "Home On the Range" when only Woody does the first time, and some other guy does the second time; and (b) in season 8 "The Two Faces of Norm," at the very end, he is greeted with "Anton!"

Where else was Norm received with the "Norm!" greeting?

Did anyone else enter Cheers to a greeting, even once?

If I remember correctly, during the "I'll have a Screaming Viking" episode, when the bar was under new management (Rebecca) and the employees were all wearing green uniforms...the new crowd all failed to greet Norm properly, causing Norm to tell Woody he was going to take his business elsewhere.

To help push this along, on at least 2 occasions, people entering Cheers received greetings similar to Norm; 1 was a series regular character.

Other persons received greetings in the folowing episodes: from season 4, "Take My Shirt, Please" and from season 9, "Bad Neighbor Sam." Can you fill in the details?

I will put this thread out of its misery:

In season 1, "Any Friend of Diane's" Norm is going to bring in his boss for a drink and asks the guys to pretend not to know him. When he enters the bar later with his boss, only Coach begins to say "Norm" but gets only to "No..." and then changes it to a musical" Na, Na-na -na na, na-na na." So, no "Norm!" greeting, at his own request.

Nobody greeted Norm in the 2nd half of "Tan N' Wash."

In season 4, during the cold opener from "Take My Shirt, Please" Diane asked to have a fuss made over her, like Norm. When she re-entered, everyone shouted "NORM!"

In season 9, "Bad Neighbour Sam," Bradley entered saying " Ciao, Gang'" and received an enthusiastic greeting, causing Norm to lose it about the new Melville crowd that had invaded Cheers.

Norm received the "Norm!" greeting at the Hungry Heifer during "Cheers: The Motion Picture," and at the bowling alley bar during "From Beer To Eternity."
