It was terrible wasn't it. My daughter was like "huh"? I told her that was the title of the episode. Very weird.

I may be wrong, but it looked like the cast was laughing in the background. Almost as if that was all ad libbed.

Actually, it was "So much for close encounters of the worst kind". It's a play on the title of the movie "Close Encounters of the Third Kind", which came out in 1977. I would say the title of the episode was taken from that last line of the episode.

I knew that, but it still doesn't make sense for Alice to say the title of the episode. Unless, it was written for Alice to say it FIRST, then they decided to use it as the title of the episode.
