Default Does anybody think this would work?

Hey guys, whats up. Long-time reader, first-time poster here. I decided to start posting because I had an idea for KoQ that might be crazy enough to work.

Do you think the actors could make a couple new episodes to weave into previous seasons? Maybe in a year from now, they can dig up Lisa Rieffel and Larry Romano and make a couple more Season 1 episodes. I believe they were the best days of the series and I think that would be a great reunion idea. Today's reunions are just a couple cast members getting together on a talk show and jabbering about for five minutes. Come on, that's so cliche.

So what do you think? In my opinion, the plot was getting stale near the end and the story-arc that made up the final episodes was kinda dark and depressing. The funniest days of the series, I think, were with Doug, Deacon, Spence, and Richie sitting in the garage watching TV. Even Sarah could worked into a plot. This way, we could finally put to rest the question of what happened to Richie and Sarah. Hell, we could even put Stanley the beagle in the episodes.

The episodes would not be shown on TV, but rather released on DVD along with the rest of Season 1. All residuals would go to the actors. I think it would be a fun project for the actors to just go back to a 1998 motif. No Danny, no Veronica, no Holly, no Lou Ferrigno. No offense to these actors/actresses, but I really think that Season 1 and maybe Season 2 was KoQ in its purest form.

I would say maybe 3 episodes. The episodes would take place purely in the Heffernan house, the garage, and maybe Coopers. There would be absolutely no reference to anything that happened post-Season 1. The characters mentioned above would not exist. The episodes would take place in the summer of 1999, after "Maybe Baby" but before "Queasy Rider".

I don't know, it just might work. I think every show should try to have an in-character reunion, and this would be a fun way to go about it. And, after all, Jerry Stiller, who is going into his 80th year next month, is not getting any younger, and we don't know how much longer he will still have his faculties and the ability to maintain his character.

Let me know what you think!

I have to say that I agree. I would want to see what had been going on with Doug, Carrie, Arthur, the kids and the ones that were regulars the past 9 years. I wouldn't really want to go backwards.
