Just a friendly reminder that Season 6 will be released in just a little over 2 weeks...

Also a complete series boxset for those of you who don't have the other 5 seasons already...

...and don't forget to be nice to Baker------Kinch is a hard act to follow.

Exactly one week until the final season and the complete series are released.

I'm very much looking forward to having all the eps.

I must confess I'm a bit mystified at how little activity there is on the Hogan Heroes board. We've all seen series on s.o. that are very obscure---and always were---that have never had many posts and may not even be on DVD. At least half of their posts are people throughout the world trying to help one another locate episodes.

Needless to say, Hogan is not one of these. I remember it being a popular show when it was in production. I remember the "echo effect" in the 70's when it went into syndication and was "discovered" by those who were a bit too young to catch it the first time. I remember it popping up on lots of stations when the cable era came in. Not too long ago it had a good run on TVLand and even on Hallmark. The DVD sets disappear from the shelves and I've heard many people say they're looking forward to Tuesday because it'll complete their set.

Activity on any board ebbs and flows. Even the Gilligan's Island board, which probably has more activity than any show from any decade on the whole site, has some pauses-----but HH has been flatlined for a long, long time. Okay, such is life.

The part that truly mystifies me--that really prompted this post--is that almost any show on this board seems to perk up just before and just after a DVD release. Whether it's the 20th season of Gunsmoke or the 1st and only season of My Mother the Car, fans talk about how excited they are---how they're going to pick it up on their way home from work on the release date---how they immediately watched it when they got home---how they have questions maybe other fans can answer---how they have things they really like or don't about the package-----but still this board has the steady chirping of crickets.

Weird, huh?
