LHOP may be a joke to some people (not me), but here is a list of child actors that became pretty well-know despite their appearances in Walnut Grove:

Jason Bateman
Shannen Doherty
Willie Aames
Sean Penn
David Faustino
Jimmy McNichol

Also Eric Shea (Poseidon Adventure, Brady Bunch and many Disney movies),
Kim Richards (Nanny & the Professor, Escape to Witch Mtn. & Disney)

Mitch Vogel (Bonanza) played Johnny Johnson in two episodes in the first season. He and fellow guest Eric Shea played brothers in 1968's Yours, Mine and Ours.

I love that movie!!!! I hate that they remade it. NEVER MESS WITH THE BEST.

How old was Mitch Vogel during those shows?

He was about 18-19. Mitch Vogel has since retired from show business, from what I've read.

I too love Yours, Mine and Ours and was disgusted that they remade it. No, you don't mess with the best. I still have a copy of the movie and have loved it since I first watched it in 1992. I found a website about the real North/Beardsley family: http://cda.morris.umn.edu/~webbrl/YoursMineOurs/

I have seen that website. I watched the movie and went online to find more info on the family. It is a very interesting website isn't it? Thank you for the information.

My pleasure, Irene! Another of Lucille Ball's kids was played by Kimberly Beck. Isn't she married into the Hilton family??

It was the one when in season 7 where Houston wants to adopt the two orphan boys, Michael and Josh. David Faustino is the adorable little brother Josh, who wouldn't speak until the end when he says "I Love You."

Those two little boys were so cute!

I can agree to the fact that she played Jeanette North Beardsley in "Yours, Mine and Ours," (one of my favorite movies), but so far I can't find a link to the Hiltons.

Willie Aames played Seth(name?) in the episode where half white/half indian Joseph Whiteeagle(again, ?) came to live in Walnut Grove with his mom and they stayed at her fathers' house, who was pretty prejudiced against Indians until he had a change of heart at the end of the show. Willie Aames played the main instigator of the boys who were picking on Joseph and beat him up.

Sean Pean and Jimmy McNichol both played on the Tinker Jones episode where Tinker made the church bell with the help of the kids from the community. Jimmy played Lars Hansen's son or grandson(we never find out), and Sean just played one of the kids standing around watching Tinker make the bell.
I've always thought that Sean Pean looks odd in LHOTP, just because I know him mainly as Jeff Spicoli from Fast Times At Ridgemont High. And he just doesn't fit in with that pioneer era for me.

There is a Kimberly in the Hilton family. I can't think of her last name but this Kim was in Nanny and the Professor where she played Prudence. Also she was in Hello Larry.

That would be Kim Richards, who is Kathy Hilton's sister. Kathy Richards Hilton is Paris' mom.

OH I remember Kim Richards. Kim's sister is Paris' mother. Another sister Kyle Richards a dark hair actress was in a not so much seen show called Down to Earth in the mid 1980's
I remember a Kimberly Beck in a few episodes of Peyton Place so she may have been in Yours Mine and Ours as a youngster
