Especially on my favorite shows. It is real corny and it takes away the story. It also make it looks like the writers ran out of ideas for an episode. When I see dream episodes, I don't even watch.

really?
that's interesting, cause i always luv Dream episodes... like on Gilligan's Island there are quite a few, and many help advance the plot and plus it gives the viewers something other than coconuts and palmtrees to look at.... |

Really? I don't mind Dream Episodes. On The Golden Girls they had a few, and I always liked them.

It depends. On Gilligan's Island, I liked them. On Good Times, I hated that stupid white J.J. dream. On I Love Lucy that dreaded Scotland dream was horrible.

"I Confess" is the title of a Bewitched episode from the fourth season. Darrin, fed up with Sam's witchcraft (again), explodes to his wife that they should tell the world all about her powers. Samantha casts a dream spell on him to let him know what their lives would be like if everyone DID know the truth. There is constant asking of favors, their neighborhood is swarmed with the media and even the government takes Sam and Tabitha away to use their powers as part of the nation's defense program. Once Darrin wakes up, he apologizes over and over to Sam (never realizing he was under a dream spell) and all is lovey-dovey in the Stephens household again. The episode did serve a purpose, but I agree that most dream episodes on TV are a waste of time and energy.

Well, I'm a psych nut and I love dream analysis. I remember one time a character on a tv show that I can't remember had a dream and I looked it up for them even though the dream nor the people don't exsist!!! Isn't that the stupidest thing ever???
So to answer your question yes I do like the dream episodes. But it's fine if other people don't. |

I agree with you Kool, dream episodes are the absolute worst. They are usually silly and stupid and most importantly, NOT FUNNY. |

Yeaahhh, I agree.. I'm typically NOT a fan of dream episodes.
Examples that come to mind... on Laverne & Shirley, the episode 2001: A Comedy Odyssey always came across as cheesy to me. Same for the Full House episode where DJ has this crazy dream about her SATs, where she oversleeps and Vanna White is giving the test, and she has a talking burrito giving her the answers... I've very rarely seen a dream sequence nicely-executed (one example that DOES come to mind, even though it's not a sitcom, is the Gilmore Girls episode where Lorelai has a dream that she's pregnant with Luke's babies.. I thought that was cute - but then again, it wasn't the WHOLE episode). |

I was never a big fan either. They're usually too off-the-wall for my liking.
