The complete Fall 2007 TV Network schedule

Now that Upfront Week is almost over and all the network lineups have been analyzed, examined, and laughed at over and over again, it's time now to look at the big picture. When you put all the pieces together, here's what the final puzzle will look like:

Mondays: Tough to pick a winner here as each of the networks look to have a strong field in place, except for FOX. They clearly come out on the losing end without any doubt. "Sam I Am" might be the best of the new series that are scheduled on this night.


Tuesdays: FOX is clearly marking time until "American Idol" resumes again in 2008, after that look out because all bets are off. Until then, it looks like CBS could have the edge over their reality-filled competition. The reality for ABC is that neither "Cavemen" nor "Carpoolers" will last very long, which means a lot of re-tooling once "Dancing With The Stars" is done with their results show.

Wednesdays: Another night that should easily belong to "American Idol". The other networks all know this, so they put the bulk of their new shows on here to see which ones might stick around to at least put up a fighting chance. The best bet should be the "Grey's Anatomy" spin-off "Private Practice". The worst will be NBC's "Bionic Woman". I miss Lindsay Wagner.

Thursdays: Home to the Heavyweights. This is when all the networks go to their A-list of series and place them all on the same night to see who blinks first. I'm guessing it will be "Smallville". Not even Superman himself can save his network from the powers of "Ugly Betty", "Survivor", and a bunch of 5th graders (which may or may not include "Earl"!).

Friday: Great strategy by CBS to team up "Ghost Whisperer" with "Moonlight", a new show about a vampire. What could possibly be scarier on a Friday night? How about another season of TV's ultimate freak show, "WWE Smackdown"? Sorry guys, I'll be watching CBS.

Saturday: Make tonight a Blockbuster night. I get first dibs on the chips!

Sundays: No contest. This is ABC's night from beginning to end. The only question I have is this: How much longer can "60 Minutes" and "The Simpsons" possibly last?
