Default Vera was PSYCHO in "Oh George Burns!"

I didn't like how they made Vera into this borderline psychotic person who believes characters in TV and movies are real!!! What a LOON!

I don't know why, but for some reason I didn't care for this episode today. I have seen it hundreds of times before, but not having seen it in such a long while I guess, it just wasn't interesting for me. Probably for the reason you are stating Brian.

I mean, if you are a boss like Mel was, when you heard Vera cry and talk about soap characters as if they were real, you would fire her ass on the spot! lol

Yeah, this episode WAS corny. C'mon now, a big star like George Burns just stroll into a greasy spoon restaurant in Phoenix with no entourage around him.

I agree!

The writers made Vera's character appear to be some sort of mentally deranged lunatic who believes that T.V. characters are actual people, like George Burns being "God." LOL!

It was a funny episode, but it had me a bit irratated. "Vera" is a nice girl and she never should have been portrayed as a loony-tune!

LOL, I forgot how whacked out she was in this episode. Personally, I wouldn't have hired Vera to begin with.
