Question,

When Vera got married how come we did not see her parents, where they not there at their own daughters wedding?

Good question. They probably were living far away or deceased. I can't recall her talking about them either.

I agree. It's like when Janet got married on Three's Company...where were her parents and her younger sister?

I hate that characters get married and we don't see their families. Ridiculous.

...or the fact that they usually don't get married in a Church, they get married in an apartment or house.

I know she mentioned her mom once when she was told that Art Carney was her cousin. she talked to her over the phone the night before.
