Default Longest running tv shows EVER...

Whether they are game shows, dramas, comedies, etc. list some of the longest-running shows:

700 Club: A religious based show that has been on the air since 1966. 41 years!!!!

PRICE IS RIGHT: Game show that debuted in 1972. 35 years of being on television.

SESAME STREET: A childrens' programming show that debuted in November, 1969. I was a wee 4 years old.

MEET THE PRESS: It debuted in 1947!!!! That is over 60 seasons!

THE TONIGHT SHOW: Started in 1957 and continues to this day with Jay Leno.

WIDE WORLD OF SPORTS: Started in 1961 and ended in August 2006.

Oh yes! It's been running since 1968. If we can count Meet The Press, we should add 60 Minutes.

Well, 7th Heaven just ended its run Sunday night as the longest-running family drama in TV history.

11 seasons, 243 episodes. It actually outlived the WB Monday night lineup, which only lasted 10 years. The WB's first season (out of 11) did NOT have a Monday night primetime schedule!

I
and GUNSMOKE was on the radio starting in 1951 and ran until 1960 or 61-I'm not sure.
And, yes, that means it was on against the TV version for a while; but the radio version had a different cast. William Conrad played Matt, Parley Bear was Chester, Geiorga Ellis was Kitty, and Howard McNear (FLOYD ON "The Andy Griffith show) was Doc.
