May 15, 2007 -- OK, so Christopher wasn't gunned down or hacked up on Sunday's episode of "The Sopranos."

The question of whether he was given a worthy death at the hands of Tony Soprano - who smothered an incapacitated Christopher after a bad car accident - had some of the "Sopranos" cast arguing yesterday.

"As a viewer, I didn't appreciate the way Tony killed Christopher," says Vinny Pastore, whose character, Big *****, was whacked in Season Two.

"It made me, as a viewer, not like Tony. I don't think it was enough of a reason to kill your nephew."

"The ending was so much in alignment with his life. Christopher was out of control again, and I thought this was a poetic ending," says Vince Curatola, aka Johnny "Sack" Sacramoni, who died earlier this season.

"It showed that Christopher wasn't a gangster - he was a scared young guy who was scared every moment of every episode of every season . . . I felt relief for him."

"It was really genius that [Christopher] didn't go out in a blaze of glory," says Steven Schirripa, who plays Bobby Bacala.

"Christopher was a drunk, he was high and he was a detriment to the family. He was a time bomb . . . Tony just beat him to the punch."

Granted Chris was hurting the family but damn couldnt they have had him killed like a man by Tony or have gotten killed by a hit from some of his many enemies like Paulie who no matter what he said hated his guts or Phil Leotardo guys do a mob hit on him etc.,

But that whole wreck nose holding suffication killing him angle sucked IMO. The episode as a whole was fair I like AJ acting more like his dad and the sex scene in Vegas with Tony and that new hottie anybody know who played her>
