Default Why would Alice knowingly bring home that guy when...

She knows Mel was there? Why couldn't she go over his place?

I know. She had no one to blame but herself. Sometimes, Alice wasn't too bright. Bringing a date home and you have another man on your couch ssleeping. And then thinking her and her date can get comfortable in that cramped up kitchen.

Maybe it's because Alice was a sitcom from the same writers as I Love Lucy with unrealistic comedic themes that told a unrealistic story of only three waitresses that worked all the shifts all the time together at a make believe diner that had to be closed if all the waitresses weren't together....I say this as a big fan of Alice with tongue firmly planted in cheek.....but remember if Alice thought logically there would be no show!

Why not? Perfect place to do some wild things.

But, with Mel there, that left them no possibility to even make out.
