I am talking of the one that covered the haunted house in Florida and the dissapearance of Mary Ann Perez.
The haunted house segments, I typically skip over, yet I watched this one and am glad I did. The segment is interesting not because of the hauntings but because of the mystery as to what happened to the man who was supposed to be doing the haunting. His name was John Harden and he had been murdered by an unknown assailant a few years before the family who claims he haunts the place moved in. He was the guy who's truck was set on fire as he slept. He woke up, ran outside, and was ambushed by someone with a shotgun. As to Harden, I have an idea as to what possibly may have happened, but it is nothing but an idea with no evidence to back it up. During the segment his ex-wife appeared and seemed to speak highly of him. However, she said that he one day just up and left her, then moved to Florida (in the house) and married another woman like a year after he had left his wife. A few months later, as we know, Harden was murdered. I wonder if the police looked into whether or not the ex-wife may have wanted a little revenge? Surely they did, but the segment never made mention of any suspects etc... As for the Perez segment, one of Perez's relatives (I think her brother) looks a helluva lot like John Harden! I found this rather funny. As for Mary herself, I tend to think the simplest explanation is the best and that she was killed by the murdering husband/wife duo. The phone caller, who claimed to be Mary's friend, suggested Mary was still alive. I don't totally rule the possibility out since there was no body found. However, if both of the women were being held captive, that sure is quite a long time to hold them without being caught. I don't have the time to write anymore, so I will respond to any interested posters later. Take care. |
