birthdays section updated

great site. I was wondering what the odds were of getting the birthday section updated. I almost never see anybody I know acknowledged down there. Usually, just a bunch of people that posted once or twice about 4 years ago and haven't posted since. anyone have any additional thoughts?thanks for any consideration.

There is no birthday section. The people who get birthday threads are usually long standing members.

i think he was referring to the Today's Birthdays section at the bottom of the main page

I believe the birthdays on there are generated automatically by the board software, and anyone that chose to put the information on their profile and make it public gets their name on there when it is their birthday.

I wish there was a way to update it or whatever, but I'm sure there isn't. Sometimes, I look at that birthday list, and it's huge, and yet there might be one or no birthday threads to make. I still have to go through the entire list though. It's not really a big deal. The worst day is January 1st. Lots of people sign up and use that day...or maybe it's defaulted to that...so the list is a mile long.

There *may* be a way to set the feature to only display users who have posted [x] number of posts, or who have posted within [x] number of days.

That could be something that could be looked into, assuming TJ has no problem with it.

It has been changed to display the birthdays for members that have been active (logged in) in the last 6 months.

Thank you very much TJ and Seth. It looks so bare now, lol. It's going to be much easier on these eyes, and more helpful overall.
