Default What current actor in film do you feel is washed up???

That actor for me is Nicolas Cage. The guy has put out quite a few stinkeroos and box office bombs. The latest is the big budget bomb "Next." The guy really can't buy a hit. Ghost Rider made a 100 million, but was universally panned by critics.

Nick Cage is a good choice. He really hasn't gotten too particular about his movie roles in the past few years.

The only one I can think of off the top of my head is Sandra Bullock. Honestly, when was the last time she had a big hit movie?

I can't stand Nicholas Cage, after he butchered his role in Windtalkers I refused to pay to see any of his movies again. Caught a few on Star Choice and he hasn't shown me anything to prove that he still doesn't suck rotten eggs
.

Sandra gets a free pass with me any day of the week.

I love Nicolas Cage. He's always been one of my favorites. I think he's at that stage of his career where he just wants to work and make money. He's in his 40s, has a couple of families to support and a certain lifestyle to maintain. Make it while you can sort of thing. I like his quirky nature. He's not one off the assembly line, that's for sure. I loved him in Lord Of War. I like him in any movie's he's in, even if I dislike the movie. Gotta think about washed up actors and get to you, lol.

Bruce Willis. How many movies can he make that are the same over and over and over again?

I too agree with Nick Cage. For the same reason I stated abt Bruce Willis. They both seem to play the same character. There is nothing different abt the characters and/or the movies.

Has Nick Cage made any movie worth seeing since Raising Arizona?

Nick was in World Trade Center. That movie is worth watching for the obvious reasons, not necessarily for Nick Cage.

Thanks, Truth is I very rarely watch movies and of the Cage films I've seen, Raising Arizona is my favorite. Anybody have any thoughts on National Treasure?

It's all personal opinion. Here's his resume. Looks like he's in demand to me.

I've got some catching up to do, From that list, I've only seen 5 of those. The others being Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Valley Girl, Con Air and that God awful Moonstruck.

Sylvester Stallone is another I can think of. The man is soooo desperate for a hit, he revived both the Rocky and Rambo franchises.

Possibly for Willis. No way for Cage. He's all over the map in the types of characters he portrays and the movies he chooses. One of the most versatille actors in the industry.

I agree with Janice, Nicholas Cage is a phenomenal actor, who I think is on the top of his game right now. He's so diverse, and can play just about any part. I thought his last great performance was in World Trade Center. Easily one of his best performances ever.

One actor who I think is washed up, is Arnold Schwarznegger. I know he's been busy these last few years Governating California, but I thought his last few films were complete crap, and I thought his acting was even worse then it had been in his past movies. (If that's possible). I just can't see too many people taking Arnold seriously as an actor anymore.

I think Nicholas Cage is a great actor too. I don't know why everyones on him so much.

One actor I used to like was Harrison Ford. I liked all his movies but I haven't seen a real good one of his since Air Force One and that was 10 years ago. I'm looking forward to the next Indiana Jones movie but that seems to be what Sylvester Stalone did with Rocky. Bring back an old character and hope the audience follows.

I've always liked Harrison Ford as an actor, but I think he's getting a little long in the tooth for some of the roles he's taking on these days. I can't remember the name of it, but the last one he had young wife and young kids. I know that happens in real life, but it was being played off as if he was young himself. It's actually happening in his real life now that I think of it, lol, with Calista Flockhart. I just think he needs more age appropriate roles. A guy in his 60s playing action heroes is just not plausible.

Sonny, I love you new avatar. She's a doll. I've seen Priscilla Barnes in some minor roles in some wild movies lately. One of Rob Zombies, I believe. I see so many movies, that they all start to blur after a while, lol.
